The website allows:

- Finding specific information like socials, commissions status, etc.
- Creating user accounts and makers profiles
- Adding portfolio items to promote makers work
- Saving makers as favorites
- Reporting or correcting information
- In the future, accessing advanced tools for makers

This website is accessible with Cloudflare and fully hosted in France, including:
- Website files
- Database
- Images
- User data
- Maker data
3. Source of maker data
Some of the fursuit maker profiles available on the website originate from here and used in accordance with its original license.
This data may include:
- Maker name or username
- Links to public websites or social media accounts
- General professional information
3. Right to claim, modify, or remove a profile
Any maker listed on the platform has full rights over their profile.
Makers may:
- Claim an existing profile
- Update or correct their information
- Request full removal of their profile
How to proceed:
- Create an account on the platform
- Or if necessary, contact the site administrator through the report issue window or social links
All legitimate requests will be processed as quickly as possible.
4. Images and visual content
4.1 Maker portfolios
Makers who choose to promote their profile may upload images or videos of their past creations (fursuits, accessories, examples of work).
These media files:
- Are voluntarily provided by the makers
- Are used only to present their work
- Are stored on the site’s servers for display purposes
Makers remain the owners of all rights to their images/videos and may request their removal at any time.
4.2 Images from Furtrack
Some images displayed on the homepage come from the Furtrack platform and some are directly from the artist website.
These images are used with the explicit permission of the photographers who created them.
All copyrights remain the property of their respective authors.
8. Liability
The website acts solely as a discovery and listing platform.
It cannot be held responsible for:
- The quality of services provided by listed makers
- The financial or contractual outcome of disputes between clients and creators
- Pricing, deadlines, or results of commissions
All users remain responsible for their own interactions and transactions.
5. Personal data collected
When using the website, certain personal data may be collected, including:
- Email address
- Username or nickname
- Account preferences (favorites, filters)
- Information related to user accounts
This data is collected only for:
- The proper functioning of the website
- Account management
- Service improvement
Furfinder uses PostHog for analytics and service improvement. In the browser, PostHog runs in cookieless mode: it does not store cookies or use local storage, does not record IP addresses, and does not build advertising profiles. Anonymous usage data (pages visited, filters used, search patterns) may be collected to improve the platform.
When you sign in or register, limited server-side analytics events (such as login or registration) may be recorded using your account identifier. No email address, username, or other profile details are sent to PostHog.
6. Data confidentiality and non-disclosure
Personal data of users and makers:

Any listed maker may:

All requests will be processed within a reasonable timeframe after identity verification.
13. Data retention period
Personal data is stored:
- For as long as the user account remains active
- Or until an explicit deletion request is made
Inactive accounts may be deleted after a long period of inactivity.

To exercise your rights (access, correction, deletion, portability), you may:

15. Cookies and trackers
Furfinder does not use optional analytics or advertising cookies in your browser. No cookie consent banner is displayed because no non-essential cookies are placed on your device.
Strictly necessary cookies
The following cookies are used only when required for the website to function:
- Session cookie: keeps you signed in after authentication (duration: up to 24 hours, or 30 days if you choose “Remember me”).
- auth-redirect: temporarily stores your intended destination during Google or Discord sign-in (duration: 5 minutes, deleted after redirect).
These cookies are exempt from consent under applicable regulations because they are essential for authentication and security.
Analytics without browser cookies
PostHog analytics runs in cookieless mode in the browser (in-memory only). It does not write PostHog cookies or use local storage for tracking purposes.
Local storage (not cookies)
The website may store functional preferences locally in your browser (for example, color theme or an in-progress maker profile draft). This data is used only for your convenience and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
No advertising cookies are used.
